CTF-EvilTest1 Map for Unreal Tournament 3

Download CTF-EvilTest1.Zip (10.6 Mb)

This is Doctor Evil’s very first attempt at a CTF map for Unreal Tournament 3.   The basic design is three big rooms with a flag base at each end.

Screenshot of the three main rooms

The main intent was to experiment with various textures and a few static meshes.   There are no lifts or other movers and no use of matinees and composite materials here.   Running an Evil Empire leaves not enough time to learn such techniques.   Well, that’s Doctor Evil’s excuse and he’s sticking to it.   So there.

Some concession has been made to the usual twisted geometry so beloved by the degenerate Doctor.

The tunnel beneath the main rooms twists and turns from one flag base to the other.   Extensive abuse of the geometry editor produced this twisted tunnel.

The music is “Scotch”, originally purloined from the old school UT map DM-Xmas by Denis “UT-Freak” Reimer. (That map was mutated and mutilated by the Doctor into CTFM-EvilXmas).

The bots do seem to take all three routes between flags:   above on the galleries, below through the twisted tunnel and straight through the middle.

[Hey guys!   No need to be so upset over one missing flag!]
